Guest instructor – sensei Rosie Lau

I am very excited to announce that sensei Rosie Lau, 4th dan, has agreed to join the club as a guest instructor.

Rosie is an excellent instructor who some of you met at the bojutso special session. Rosie normally lives in Manchester, where she trains under sensei Harford, but is currently in the south on project work. Rosie will be teaching the Monday lesson regularly until the end of October when she is due to return to Manchester.

october training schedule update

thursday, 13 october – no session due to an event at the spectrum

saturday, 15 october – special session with sensei john parnell, 6th dan, and sensei neil jerome, 5th dan.

sunday, 16 october – technical kata clinic with sensei neil jerome, 5th dan, at wimbledon karate SW19 3TZ, 2-4pm.

tuesday, 18 october – no session due to a blood donation event at the spectrum.

sunday, 23 october – advanced black & brown belt lesson with sessei bob poynton, 8th dan, at kenmei karate, 12:30-2:00pm, £10.

sunday, 23 october – special session and kyu grading with sessei bob poynton, 8th dan, at kenmei karate,  2pm onwards. £5 for lesson only, £20 for lesson and grading.

Schedule update

Owing to events taking place at the Spectrum there will be no adult lessons in the first week of May, that is Bank Holiday Monday, 2 May, and Thursday, 5 May. Instead there will be a special session with Sensei John Parnell, 5th dan, on Saturday 28 May. Details will follow.

For those who wish to keep up their training regimen the Monday lesson at Kenmei karate in Sutton is on as normal.

Please note that the junior lesson on Tuesday, 3 May, will be unaffected.
